Objects:

  1. To research the history of the non-violent direct action movement in the United Kingdom.
  2. To gather, document and archive material relating to this history.
  3. To advance the education of the public in relation to this.

 

Methods

The trust will initially concern itself with the resistance to nuclear weapons in the 1960’s.

It will set up an Internet based archive facility that will perform three functions.

  1. Provide a well designed informative website to introduce and explain what happened.
  2. Use the Internet to encourage and assist communication and contact between people who were involved and people who are interested.
  3. Allow open access to a full archive of relevant material. Documents, photographs, anecdotal and analytical commentary will be available for viewing and download.
